CONVENTION
20 YEARS OF HOPE
From 2007 to 2027, what began as just one meeting in Dublin has grown into over 140 meetings nationwide, a miracle built on hope, faith, and courage. This 20 year celebration marks an important milestone for Cocaine Anonymous in Ireland, a chance to reflect on how far the fellowship has come and to welcome the next person still searching for hope.

This year, we gather in Cork, known as “The Rebel County,” a name rooted in its proud history of standing strong and refusing to give up. As we come together to celebrate “A Wholesale Miracle,” we honour the Rebel Spirit within each person who chose hope over despair, connection over isolation, and recovery one day at a time.

​This convention is open to anyone seeking support and guidance on their journey to recovery from addiction. It offers a safe space for members of Cocaine Anonymous to come together, welcome newcomers, share experiences, and find strength in the message that recovery is possible. For the newcomer especially, a convention is a chance to realise they are not alone, to hear hope in the voices of others and to see recovery lived out in real life.
A Wholesale Miracle
In the Foreword to the Second Edition of the Big Book, Alcoholics Anonymous described the growth of the Fellowship between 1939 and 1955 as “a wholesale miracle.” From a handful of members to a worldwide movement, the message of recovery spread further than the early pioneers could ever have imagined. Through the years, that same miracle has been reflected in the growth of C.A. Ireland, as groups have formed across the country and lives have been transformed. This year's theme celebrates that continuing miracle and the hope that is found when one addict helps another.
